In particular, this technology allows you to adjust the magnetism of the single element, allowing robots to perform seamless picks of single parts from a stack of components.

Even the pick of a single small component has always been very challenging in automated systems due to the high incidence of “double picking” of multiple elements at the same time.

With Magswitch’s E series of switchable magnets, the application is guaranteed with unparalleled precision thanks to the ability to adjust the intensity of the magnetic field depending on the characteristics of the element to be picked.

The Magswitch VFO allows you to successfully pick up an entire stack of components even if they are randomly arranged in a container, always ensuring the pick of one and only one component.

This occurs thanks to the reduction of the magnetic field through the VFO which allows the excess parts collected to fall back into the container, eliminating the need for example to add vibrating solutions to the application.

Inside the electrically actuated E series we find two models which, unlike traditional electro permanent magnets (EPM) or electromagnets, have the ability to vary their magnetic field by any percentage:

E50, the most powerful version of the range

Electric actuation therefore also allows the elimination of the use of pneumatic air and a consequent saving on the cost of managing the EOAT.
